Birth and Growth of Playball in Australia
Tammy Ceppi [then Leeb] was the first and largest Playball franchisee in South Africa. At the same time, her dedication to the business and love and passion for teaching children lead her into a senior management role within Playball South Africa. Tammy's work involved consulting with numerous child specialists and in writing the “Coaching Manuals” for the Playball system. These include the lesson plans that coaches use to teach children hundreds of different skills and games. Many of these games are still played around the world today! Tammy’s continued commitment and devotion fast tracked her into a role of training and development of other franchisees within South Africa as well as internationally. In 1998, after 15 years of involvement in the start up of the now internationally successful Playball brand, Tammy Ceppi had the vision to cross the seas and bring the concept to the hearts of Australian children. The success of Playball in Bondi soon spread to the North Shore and later to Victoria and Queensland. Within a short while Playball had become Australia's premium quality provider of specialised sports coaching for 2 to 8 yr olds. Now hundreds of children participate in Playball every week. |
